#TouristsOfZagreb: From Busy NYC to Cozy Zagreb
This month Caleb from NYC told us his impressions of Zagreb and how he liked his stay in the city.
I decided to visit Zagreb because I heard of its amazing history and architecture such as the Zagreb cathedral and Ban Jelačić Square.
I was in Croatia for about two weeks in total. I also visited other places, like islands and the city of Split as well. We were in Zagreb for around 3-4 days, and we stayed in a hotel downtown near the main terminal. I don’t recall the name now, but it was a very chill and friendly place.

What were your first impressions of Zagreb?
I visited so many locations in Zagreb! Some of the places were St. Mark’s church, Ban Jelačić Square, the Upper town, Zagreb Cathedral and Dolac Market.
My first impression of the city was how cozy and refreshing the city was, people were friendly, and there were tons of history and positive energy in the city.
I am an Asian American, so it is indeed very different from my culture and background, some of the significant differences are the food, people’s habits, the tradition and also the language. NYC is great, but it’s too packed, there are too many people, and it's busy all the time.

Did you meet some locals while visiting?
I have met some local young people while I was out exploring Zagreb’s nightlife, my impressions of them were super friendly, accepting and great at making conversations.
I loved everything I saw and experience in Zagreb. Next time I plan to stay longer.
