Where to Play in Zagreb If You're over 25
You're sitting home alone with nothing to do. You've watched all of the TV shows you wanted, new season doesn't come out until the early fall. You're not much of a sports type and you prefer to spend your free time with a nice cold drink in your hand, sitting by the table, surrounded by your friends. Not to say that you're basically a kid in the body of a grown person. If you've recognized yourself in some of these descriptions, if not all, then this topic is made for you. In my previous blogs, I've already mentioned how Zagreb has a lot of things to do, whether we're talking about cultural activities or some other activities, and now is the time to prove it. Here are my top three spots in Zagreb to awake that inner child.

Very creative game nights in KSET
KSET was undoubtedly the first place that came to mind when I thought about this topic. When I was learning about the things you can do in Zagreb (I'm one of those people who doesn't satisfy himself only with changing a bar, I also like to change the activities I spend my free time on), I have frequently encountered KSET and its immensely imaginative programmes and activities. It would be absolutely impossible to enumerate all of the events that were held in this, one of the most popular clubs of Zagreb. I mean, where else could you compete in classic video games like "Icy Tower," "Achtung, die Kurve," "Space Invaders," "Crash: Team Racing" or even "Tekken 3". If video games are not quite your thing, KSET used to offer all kinds of different games. The fans of drinking games could test their aim in one of the most popular bar games "beer pong," and those with poker faces had the chance to clash in a relentless game of Belot. All in all, you get the gist, you can never know what to expect from KSET next.

Meeple's corner - a board game utopia
If you like to play, I'm sure that most of you've encountered some form of a board game along the way. It's a great way to develop your competitive spirit and to spend time with your friends, especially if you see them often and you don't really have a lot to say to each other. Board games are a great way to become even closer to your friend. Meeple's corner is opened on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and it has over 250 modern board game titles on its disposal. To simplify, even the most demanding board game players will find something for themselves. Lovely volunteers will help you with any game you decide to play. You can bring your friends along or you can decide to come alone and meet new friends who are open to play with anyone.

Located in the near vicinity of the Branimir market, at Street of Queen Jelena 8, Meeple's corner was initiated by the association called "Igranje" or "Playing" translated into English. Simple and clear, you know what to expect from these people. A lot of fun, hanging out and learning a lot about new and modern board games constantly updated according to the popularity followed through the website Boardgeek.com and international SPIEL festival in Essen. All in all, it's a perfect place for everyone who likes playing board games. From occasional board games players to those hardcore fans. It's a true board game utopia.

Hunger for knowledge - Zagreb quiz scene
Knowledge is power. You can never guess what life brings. It's even harder to guess what sort of knowledge you will need in life. Is there a more fun way to learn something than surrounded by your friends with a sheet of paper in front of you. Zagreb has always been known for its quiz scene, but its popularity has risen exponentially in the last couple of years. Every other bar or pub has a quiz night now because, well, it's a great way to bring in people on an off night. And its a great way for you, as a visitor to learn something. Zagreb offers all kinds of quiz types, from small ones to bigger ones. There are general, movie, music, gaming and all other kinds of quiz types.

As I said before, there's a really large number of bars and pubs in Zagreb that are organizing quizzes. Personally, I've been to a few, and I can say that some are really hard, the others are too easy and some of them are just the right difficulty. My friends and I have found our quizzing happiness in Spunk Bar near National and University Library. They are organizing quizzes four times a month, two of those are general and two are movie themed and they are really challenging but very fun at the same time. I also tried some other quizzes in places like Culture Factory, Bourbon Caffe, Kalahari bar, etc. For me, it's an ideal night out with my friends.
