Perceived as a bit of a  fancy place in Tkalča, History caffe club is a club spread on three floors, a bit on a commercial, MTV side of a musical spectrum during weekends but with occasional live, rock performances as well. Big selection of beers, cocktails, boys and girls all dressed up dancing the night away are what to expect if you stop by History club. You are a football fan and you have a big game coming up and you would like to watch it with friends while sipping some of the finest beers Zagreb has to offer or have a meal while you are at it? No problem. History club has means and ways to accommodate those needs too.

Funk Club

If house, jazz and broken beats are your thing, along with Croatian beer and homemade rakija, perhaps Funk club, part of the Funk hostel, would be a destination of your choice on a night out in Zagreb. Even more so if you like basement based clubs with stone-vaulted ceilings, although the club has been renovated and is much more spacious now. Definitely a good, spontaneous and welcoming partying place with a bit of underground flair. An experience not to be missed.

DrinX Club

The newest and hottest addition to Tkalča partying scene is DrinX Club. It didn't take long before hip and trendy Zagreb people embraced DrinX Club as one of  'it'  destinations on their Tkalča partying itinerary. The club boasts and pays attention to high aesthetic standards regarding its interior design that stirred quite a bit of media frenzy (sound system too!) as much as it pays attention to fine selection of its drinks. Music – house&rnb with dj&mc performances.

Taban bar

Taban (meaning foot) is a bar within Taban hostel, opened not only to guests but to other visitors as well. Taban bar has quickly become a recognized as nicely mixed international place in Zagreb, with rather affordable drink prices and live rock band performances, DJ programmes and other music events.

Oliver Twist Pub

Situated right in the middle of Tkalča street, Oliver Twist Pub is a pub decorated and designed to honor great English writer Charles Dickens. Hence the name. Those who get tired of trying local beer can get hold of Kilkenny and Guinness on tap here, watch games, relax on one of the three floors among Dickens memorabilia and books. When the weather is nice, be sure the huge garden in front of the pub will be filled with people, mostly younger generation, tourists and business people.

Beer house Mali Medo

Just as the name of this beer house suggests (Mali Medo – Small Bear), this is smaller, more intimate beer house version of otherwise big Zagreb beer house chain Medvedgrad. It is a very charming place where you can perhaps start your evening, trying one or all 5 types of natural, clear, beer while snacking on local delicacies such as čvarkuše, trganci, beer sausages or simply pizza.

Melin cafe – jazz bar

Melin cafe, a place that has for many years swam against all tides and was always attracting alternative types of one or the other sort and has for long been a kind of a grunge-punk destination, a year ago it has undergone a big change. Design-wise, we are talking about cool flea market type of an interior design while music-wise it is now a top notch destination for jazz enthusiasts with ongoing live performances.
