Bloggers of Zagreb - People Who Create a New Face of the City
Blogs used to serve as a virtual diary, but today some people actually managed to make a career out of it. Digital influencers are becoming household names these days because it’s easy to identify yourself with ordinary people who write and share their thoughts on different blogging platforms. Cyberspace is filled with different topics that bloggers write about and there’s definitely something for everyone. Whether you’re into DIY projects and crafting, or cooking is your passion and you enjoy trying out recipes from food blogs, there’s a blog out there dedicated to every topic that may interest you. If you love something and you want to turn it into a hobby, blogging is a great way to start because it allows you to meet other people who share your interests. I can think of a couple of amazing people from Zagreb who really stand out in the blogging community and share their passion with their readers, inspiring them one post at a time.
Fashion blog – Click 4 Chic

Behind the fashion blog Click 4 Chic is a young trendsetter Matea Frajsberger who was born and raised in Zagreb where she now builds her fashion career through her blog which she started way back in January 2012. Her desire was to share her passion and ideas with other people who find fashion interesting. She thinks of her blog as a personal diary of outfits, ideas, tips, and news from the fashion world. Because of her hard work and the success her blog had among readers, she managed to score a lot of interesting collaborations and partnerships with brands. Even her social media following is growing every day because people just can’t get enough of her playful outfits, witty personality, and unique sense of humour which she shows to the world by filming her everyday life in the form of vlogs which are posted on Youtube. If you want to see the local girl next door making her way into the fashion world, while holding her boyfriend’s hand and cheering you up with adventures of her adorable dog Lily, then head over to her blog or YouTube channel and treat yourself to some of Matea’s shenanigans that you’ll want to bookmark.
Food blog – Zagreb Food Stories

This is definitely a perfect blog for anyone coming to Zagreb on a holiday. If you need tips on the best places in town where you can grab mouth-watering food and indulge in tasty meals, Ana and Anton’s blog will tell you all about that. In their own words, they think of themselves as “two foodies who love to eat well and travel often”. They’ve created their blog in order to share their favourite places to eat and drink in Zagreb.
Both of them have been eating their way through this city for a while now, so it’s not surprising they know Zagreb has a lot of hidden gems you’ll probably miss if you stick to your usual restaurant recommendations. They aren’t food critics and both Ana & Anton have daily jobs, but turning their passion for food into blog proved to be a great success since their social media has been growing since day one. Be sure to check their blog out and create a list of all the places you’ll visit during your vacation in Zagreb. Beware, though: you might gain a couple of pounds if you treat yourself to all those recommended meals from Zagreb Food Stories – don’t ask me how I know that.
Lifestyle blog – My Little Zagreb

This cute blog about life in Zagreb will fill you with warmth like a friendly hug because its main author, Lidija Seatovic, creates so special and unique atmosphere in her posts that can only be described as – magic. She’s a wife, a mother, a businesswoman, and a blogger who has an eye for capturing pretty pictures which you’ll see for yourself if you visit her blog. She writes about cosy places in town worth visiting, even though they might not be on the list of top places to see. Lidija knows how to bring closer her readers to hidden spots of Zagreb, where to drink coffee or have tasty brunch, which parks provide the best shade during hot summer days, how to spend slow Sunday while still doing some sightseeing…
This blog will tell you all about that, with a pinch of Lidija’s writing charm and amazing photographs depicting city’s soul. Honestly, my favourite way of consuming her blog post is with a cup of coffee, laid back on a sofa and cuddled up in a blanket with some nice music in the background. Try it – I promise, it’s way better than any wellness I’ve ever been to.
Travel blog – Zagreb honestly

To get an insightful look into life in Zagreb, but also Croatia in general, my recommendation is to read this vibrant and enjoyable blog that Andrea writes to provide pure pleasure for any tourist or local - Zagreb Honestly. She is a published fiction writer and a trained anthropologist with a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London, and yet, she left her successful academic career in the UK and moved back to Croatia where life is more chaotic, but also more soulful. She started her blog slowly and tentatively because she never considered herself a travel writer, but as she was in a unique position, being both a local and an outsider who was rediscovering her city with fresh eyes, she grabbed this opportunity and succeeded.
She writes about Zagreb so openly and candidly that you won’t be able to resist going through all of her blog posts in one day. She brings both urban and old-fashion charm of the city into the spotlight for her readers. I love reading her blog because I feel closer to Zagreb itself and I always discover little-known facts or places I haven’t been to which then make their way to my bucket list of things to do in Zagreb.
