Dance Halls in Zagreb: Senior Citizens Living Their Lives to the Fullest Through Dancing
Have you ever felt like your life is technically over? You have sent your kids off to life, and they have their own lives, maybe even their own families or they just don't want to spend any time with you because they are too busy with their education, job, interests, hobbies and their social life in general. At the same time, your social life is poor because of them, and you simply haven't had the time to develop it. Well, believe it or not, you are not the only one who found herself or himself in this kind of a situation. There is a lot of people out there who are your age and who decided that their lives are far from over and who live it to the fullest. One of the great ways of socializing is through dancing. It doesn't matter if you had some dance classes in your younger age or you just want to go out and hang out with people with similar interests as yours. Zagreb offers a lot of dance halls where you can meet, greet and mingle with awesome people while having a blast and this blog is exactly about that.

BarBar Bar
BarBar is a recently opened dance hall place that offers a variety of dance program for senior citizens. Its address is Hondlova 2 and its very near the Maksimir forest. Combining that fact with the BarBar's event called "Plesnjak za sve generacije" or "Every generation dance" sounds like a perfect Sunday. After taking a nice walk and breathing some fresh air in Maksimir park, you can go to BarBar and get jiggy with it from seven p.m. to eleven p.m.
That event is already traditionally being held there every Sunday, and the entering price is affordable - 20 kunas. On top of all that, the visitors are really enjoying themselves there as you can see on their Facebook page.

Buena Vista Club Zagreb
Buena Vista is a somewhat different club than the others because it's the only dance hall club with Latin music and it offers a series of dance workshops and parties. Its 400 square meters of space is situated at Savska cesta 120. All the latin dance lovers will surely feel right at home there. At Buena Vista, you can try salsa, merengue, bachata, cha-cha, son, rumba, reggaeton, dancehall, Zumba, Kizomba, Zouk, afro, tango and other Latin dances. So, if latin rhythms are what makes you move, you needn't look further.

Cadillac Club
Cadillac Club was initiated by the Total Rock World - an organization of rockers of Zagreb with the common goal of promoting urban, especially rock music and culture, and making it recognizable. Its located at Medveščak 2 and among other things in its rich offer, such as dance & music performances, sessions, concerts and stand-up acts, there are dancing events for rock and rock 'n' roll music fans. The Cadillac Club started working fairly recently, last year in May to be exact, so there's a pretty good chance you've never visited it, and this is a good reason to do so. Cadillac Club is opened every day 7 p.m. to midnight.

Pitch Club
Pitch is a spacy and an attractive place in Zagreb, Šalata just near the skating-rink and concert stage. It's made in urban style with a joyful and colorful game of colors and details in its ambiance. Besides cafe bar, it is also available for private celebrations, banquets, team buildings and all kinds of gatherings and ceremonies. Its dance programmes are usually being held on Fridays, and on Sundays, there's a programme called "O-PITCHena nedjelja" (Wacky Sunday) when there's a gathering of senior divorced citizens. That gathering is conceived as a group discussion with a moderator, and after that programme, mingling continues.
So there you have it. There is a certain trend of dance programmes for senior citizens in Zagreb, which proves the point that a growing number of senior citizens are interested in them. So if you like dancing, meeting new people and listening to music, you just have to choose among shortly described places. Put your dancing shoes on and get on with it! :)
